Tonight all parents stay up well past the time they want to. In a united front, we ban together to eat cookies/healthy snacks and drink milk/water that our children have left behind.
Tonight all parents from around the globe fight with double/single sided scotch tape and unhelpfully shaped presents, resulting in fervently whispered rated "R" words.
Tonight we fight the good fight in the knowledge of the next morning, we will be woefully awoken before twilight (no not the movie) has hit, only to have caressed our pillows but 4 hours ago.
Yes, parents accross the globe... it's Christmas time again.
Do not take meanly these words. For in our struggle, there is a light. A hope that our families will appreciate our efforts and we will recieve our gift also in return.
No, I am talking about is not that item that was so lovenly and ascewedly wraped. I am talking about the joy and warmth that comes from giving and the simple words, "Thank you, Mommy!"
Parents, whoever/wherever you are, I wish you a very merry Christmas.
